Position Available Intellectual Property Transactional Attorney

Job Description  The transactional department services all the patent and trade mark practice groups within the firm.   Primary reponsibilities:  advising on IP title issues, dealing with recordal of changes of ownership of IP rights in the UK and internationally, advising on licensing issues, advising on restoration of IP rights.

Experience required  Qualified solicitor with strong background in IP law (2 years plus PQE)

Skills required  Essential:  understanding and experience of IP transactions and title issues, experience of preparing evidence.   Desirable but not essential: an understanding of the recordal process of IP transactions, familiarity with licensing and competition issues, drafting skills (assignments, licences and agreements), experience of patent restoration work, familiarity with franchising issues and agreements.

Salary negotiable

Benefits Life Assurance, BUPA, STL, pension, 23 days holiday on joining rising to 28 over 5 years

Hours  9am to 5pm
