One Day MBA

Winmark run intensive One Day Courses which will introduce you to the key models and concepts taught in a full MBA.   The course covers:  Strategy, Financial Management, Marketing, Differentiation and Branding, Change Management Leadership and Persuasion.    The course is suitable for anyone who has not previously had formal business training but is educated to degree level and a middle to senior manager.   Winmark recently held a One Day Course for our members and these were some of the comments:

• The course was an excellent tool to get you thinking more broadly about the business rather than just about your own specialism
• The marketing modules were very interesting
• Nicely paced delivery of material
• Content was very comprehensive - most useful

CIPD QUALIFICATION TRAINING

The City HR Academy is being launched to provide CIPD qualification training leading to Graduate Membership of the CIPD within the square mile and Canada Square (Canary Wharf).   The programme commences with two full induction days followed by monthly workshops between 3pm and 9pm with a blended flexible learning programme.

The Programme incorporates modules on People Management and Development, Leadership and Management, Specialist and Generalist Personnel and Development and Applied Personnel and Development.    Course fees are £2,750 per module plus exam fees which are currently £50 per paper.

EMPLOYEE BENEFIT FOCUS GROUP

HR in Law is working with Portus Consulting and have produced a Benefit Survey published in April 2009.   It is proposed that a Focus Group is formed to review reward in its entirety on a regular basis.   The first meeting is planned for September/October so if you would be interested in joining this working group please let us know and we will ensure you are informed of any developments.    Please contact Bridget in the first instance.
